South Sumatera

South Sumatra province of Indonesia is one located in the southern part of Sumatra Island. The province had its capital at Palembang. Geographically province the South Sumatera borders the province of Jambi in the northern province of Kep. Bangka-Belitung in the eastern province of Lampung in the south and west province of Bengkulu. The province is rich in natural resources such as oil, natural gas and coal. Besides SouthSumatra provincial capital, Palembang, has been famous since ancient as the center ofthe kingdom of Sriwijaya.

In addition, the province has many attractive tourist destinations to visit like the MusiRiver, the Ampera Bridge, Kemaro Island, Lake Ranau, Pagaralam City and others.Because since the first has been the center of trade, indirectly influence the culture of its people. Typical food of this province are as varied as pempek, model, tekwan, pindang tulang, pindang patin, sambal jokjok, berengkes and tempoyak.
